Designed by Chien-Ling Liu, the Coming Home interior design showcases an open and unsophisticated style that creates a spacious and comforting living space. With a focus on the elegant characteristics of humanity and nature, this design provides tranquility and warmth to the residence.
In the living and dining room, the ceilings are ornamented with exposed pipes, which not only add visual interest but also enhance the sense of space. The walls, adorned with white medium density fiberboards, interact harmoniously with the wooden-finished floors. Additionally, six eye-catching air diffusers are placed on the top of the dining room wall, adding both aesthetic appeal and functionality to the space.
This interior design project, located in New Taipei City, Taiwan, was completed in August 2015. The design team, led by Chien-Ling Liu, successfully overcame challenges such as creating a corridor with great views and adequate sunlight exposure, which adds to the amiable charms of the residence.
With a total area of 102 square meters, Coming Home offers a calm and inviting atmosphere that embraces the family and exudes great hospitality. The design plan goes beyond traditional styles by advocating for spaciousness and considering the preferences and needs of the residents, fostering a compatible relationship between the space and its occupants.
Coming Home was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2018 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious accolade recognizes the design's well-thought-out practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial requirements. The design integrates industry best practices and exhibits competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world and evoking fulfillment and positive emotions.
